The planet has been kept as an active pre-industrialised world with a near constant state of war between feudal areas and city-states in order to maintain a heavy martial focus to the world and provide a strong base for Chapter recruitment.[Needs Citation]
Mancora has a higher-than-average birth rate of psykers, which is carefully policed by the Howling Griffons and has led to them having a higher number of powerful battle-psykers within their ranks.[2]
