Messina is a world of the Imperium. It is the seventh planet of the Thracian Primaris System, capital system of the Helican Sub-Sector.[1]
It was once invaded by a Chaos cult which removed the eyes of its victims as they were seen as windows into the soul.[Needs Citation] The Inquisitor Eisenhorn had his Distaff organization headquartered on Messina as well. However circa 396.M41, they were essentially wiped out in an attack by Vessorine Janissaries[2a] Mercenary bands[2c], hired by the Heretic Pontius Glaw.[2b]
