Moddren is the current Master Castellan of the Angels of Absolution Chapter.^[1]

Following the Tau purge of his homeworld, Allhallow's, population due to a psychic plague, Moddren was enraged but became even more shocked when he discovered that the Dark Angels played a secret role in aiding the xenos.^[1]

Moddren later led his forces as part of a massive Unforgiven armada in the Battle of Idolatros.^[2]
