The Mordion 7th Regiment is an Imperial Guard regiment, formed from the "Night Rippers" Hive gang, who led a rebellion against Mordion's planetary governor, Commander Varren. The rebellion was put down, and its leader, Mahagon Jhume, executed. His followers were considered a potentially valuable fighting force and rather than being executed, they were inducted into the Imperial Guard. The "Night Rippers" continue to use their gang symbols and use Jhume's image on their banners.
The 7th have a Rough Riders platoon, an Ogryn detachment, a Beastman unit (before Beastmen were deemed too genetically unstable), a Ratling detachment (Dunno's Dead-Eyes), a Penal Battalion, and a Sentinel unit.
The Mordion 7th were described in White Dwarf's early army list for the Imperial Guard.
The Pacification of Flotis III
The Pacification (984.M41) was the first action of the Mordion 7th. Flotis III was a human Feudal World that was recently rediscovered by the Imperium, and controlled in part by Orks. The Mordions invaded and took control of the world, installing themselves in place of the military aristocracy, and freeing the population from Ork enslavers. The province of Bencya was taken by Rough Rider units and the Forests of Glimdrum were taken by Rough Riders and Sentinels working together.

- Sergeant-Ogryn Thargadd - he single handedly destroyed an Ork Dreadnought in close combat at the Battle of Blood Hill on Flotis III
- Packmaster Org and Raakt, leaders of the Beastman unit
