Nadiries was a world of the Imperium located close to the intergalactic void on the absolute fringes of the galaxy. A rogue planet, it orbited no sun, traveling the void in perpetual night.[1a]

History

After the Horus Heresy, the planet became home to the last surviving bastion of the Sisters of Silence. For 1,500 years, this last forgotten fortress of the Silent Sisterhood stood guard, eventually becoming disdainful of what the outside Imperium had become after the Emperor's enthronement. Their disillusionment was such that the Sisters within had, by mid-M32, forsaken even their vow of silence. [1b]

In M32 during the War of the Beast, Nadiries was sought out by both the Orks, who feared the Sisterhood, and Lord Commander Koorland and the nascent Deathwatch, who sought their aid. The Deathwatch was eventually able to lift the Ork siege of Nadiries, save the Sisters there, and (with the help of Inquisitor Wienand) recruit them as allies against the greenskins.[1c]
