A Sorcerer Karlsen took part in nearly all of his Legion's significant history, including the fall of Prospero, the Battle of Terra and countless other combat actions. His lifespan unnaturally extended by his Chaotic patron, Karlsen went completely insane on more than one occasion due to the burden of his experiences, before he invented a ritual to 'partition' his mind and safely store his memories. Foulspawn
Foulspawn was one of the most diseased and disgusting of all Nurgle's Champions. Nurgle was deeply fond of his unsightly Champion, and eventually blessed him with the reward of Spawndom. By some strange quirk of fate (or equally strange whim of Nurgle) Foulspawn was able to survive by ingesting and absorbing the fleshy tissues and bodily fluids of living creatures, which he achieves by grabbing his victim with his sticky, toad-like tongue, and then swallowing the still living creature whole.3
Ghargauloth
Ghargauloth is one of the most powerful Daemons of the Changer of Ways Tzeentch. He was present at the conclave on Thalassocres where Tzeentch spoke to his greatest daemons. Gargauloth is a daemon created from information. He is able to manifest himself through this media. His worshipers have been known to corrupt data machines for his cause. He has been banished twice by the Grey Knights, but continues to affect his plans from the warp. His true name is recorded in the Codicium Aeternum. Ghargauloth is said to have created the Trail of Saint Evisser and use the body of Kelkannis Evisser in order to bring about his re manifestation.18
Heart of Blood
The Heart of Blood is one of the most favoured Daemon avatars of the Blood God Khorne, and piled legions of skulls for its master. It has the power to summon bloodstorms, which drains blood from its victims without the need to strike a physical blow. It forged for itself a suit of armour which contained all of its hate, malice and cunning. Its greatest rival is the Omphalos Daemonium, which it trapped within the heart of a Daemon Engine. However, the Heart of Blood too became imprisoned by the Iron Warriors, and was forced to create and sustain an unbreakable psychic barrier around the fortress of Khalan-Ghol for over ten thousand years. 12
Ka'Bandha
Ka'Bandha was the Bloodthirster responsible for breaking Sanguinius' legs during the battle for Signus Prime. It may also have been responsible for the Black Rage afflicting the Blood Angels and their Successor Chapters to this day.8
The Daemon would return to plague the Blood Angels again during the Battle of Terra, where it yet again challenged the Angel Primarch to battle. Attacking the Primarch when his back was turned, the daemon quickly cast Sanguinius to the ground. But, unlike Signus Prime, this time Sanguinius rose to his feet once again, and calling upon the last of his strength, hefted the Daemon by the neck, raised it above his head, and with a last display of might, broke Ka'Bandha's back over his knee, before hurling the Greater Daemon back into the heretic army and finally retreating back to the safety beyond the walls of the Eternity Gate.8
M'Kachan
M'Kachan is a Daemon Prince of Tzeentch that most commonly appears in the form of a particularly powerful Lord of Change.
N'Kari
N'Kari is a Daemon Prince of Slaanesh. He was born on an isolated, backwater world which has been trapped in the centre of a violent warp storm for millennia, incidentally on the same backwater world as the Daemon Prince Bubonicus. The Chaos Powers have repeatedly attempted to conquer this planet, but have so far been foiled by the uncorrupted peoples of the world. N'Kari rose to prominence during one of the Chaos Powers' many attempts to conquer the planet. He proved himself a dedicated follower of Slaanesh in countless battles - and the debauched and disgusting revelries that followed them - and was rewarded by Slaanesh with the gift of Daemonhood. Along with Doombreed he was one of the two Daemon Princes that fought against the Emperor when he boarded Horus's battle barge, and he continues to serve his daemonic master to this day.3
Omphalos Daemonium
The Omphalos Daemonium was an ancient and powerful Daemon Prince, a servant of the Blood God Khorne, and existed only for slaughter. It was defeated by a rival daemon, the Heart of Blood, and trapped in torment within a Daemon Engine; bound to the service of the Iron Warriors, it served as the dread chariot to a vast Iron Warrior known as the Slaughterman. After the war of Hydra Cordatus, the Slaughterman was defeated by Imperial forces and driven into the furnace of the daemon engine, setting the Omphalos Daemonium free. The daemon then possessed the body of the Slaughterman, and planned its revenge on the Heart of Blood, which itself was imprisoned by the Iron Warriors on their homeworld of Medrengard.
The daemon captured two exiled Ultramarines, Uriel Ventris and his former Sergeant, Pasanius, and charged them with the task of retrieving the Heart of Blood. Upon the Heart of Blood being set free by the Ultramarines, the Omphalos Daemonium arrived to take advantage of its rival's weakened state from its imprisonment. However, in the climax of the battle, the Heart of Blood conjured up a bloodstorm which strengthened its abilities to their former glory. Upon restoration of its powers, the Heart of Blood was the more powerful of the two daemons and ultimately defeated its enemy once again. The Omphalos Daemonium was beheaded and its essence was drank by its mortal enemy.12
Periclitor
Periclitor was a Space Marine of the Night Lords Legion3 who began his long quest to Daemonhood in 832.M33 with the Castile V massacre. Among his later triumphs were the martyrdom of Saint Jerome (called Jerome the Pure by the Imperium, and Jerome the Fool or Jerome the Blind by Periclitor's forces), the last stand of the Terran 5th Armored Prefects, battle against the Grey Knights in the Sentry Vault, the ambush and slaughter of the Howling Griffons' Chapter Master and First Company on the eve of the 5000th anniversary of their founding, and the murder of the Cardinal of Bray. The last incident touched off a series of attacks by Periclitor's forces that eventually caused the entire Trans-Kurani subsector to erupt in civil war over the issue of taxation for defence of the subsector.
Once the Braun IV Tithe Wars - as this conflict was known - was touched off, Periclitor was elevated to Daemonhood in 187.M39.1
