Paragon Blades are ancient weapons forged during the Dark Age of Technology.^[2]

History

These blades were few in number even in the early days of the Horus Heresy and took a number of forms. The most common are two-handed Power Weapons of extraordinary balance and durability. However they also come in Chain Weapons made from the teeth of terrifying Xenos-beasts from the Halo Stars as well as night-black sickle-swords. They were considered prized possessions by the Space Marine warriors who wielded them.^[1]

During the Horus Heresy, the Loyalist Legions gave their Champion Consuls huge Paragon Blades to wield.^[2]
