Commander Pask is a renowned intelligent Imperial Guard Tank ace. He is referred to as "Knight" Commander, Knight being a metaphor for his notability with commanding armoured units (or tanks).
Pask first saw duty as part of the Cadian 423rd Armoured Regiment against Waaagh! Gutcutta in the Leman Russ tank "Hand of Steel". When and Ork Bonecruncha smashed through the Imperial lines, its Deff Rolla flattened the turret and killed the Commander with ease. Pask naturally assumed command of the ruined and battered tank, turned the tank around, and with the Ork Bonecruncha still smashing through Imperial tanks, Pask demonstrated what he would grow on to become legendary for. A lascannon shot penetrated one of the Ork machines inexpertly welded back armour joints, detonating its crude engines and flipping it over its own Deff Rolla in a victorious blaze of smoke and fire. The tank, still under Pask, went on to destroy at least 14 confirmed armour-kills, defeating Ork Warlord Gutcutta's assault. Pask was immediately noticed and rose through the ranks rather quick.
Repaired, Pask continued to use the Hand of Steel. It was later ruined and confirmed by a Techpriest as unsalvagable during a battle against the Eldar; when engaging a squadron of Fire Prisms. Pask was immediately offered a new tank, the powerful Baneblade but refused, and asked for another trusty Leman Russ. As he had done dozens of times, he renamed his new Leman Russ Hand of Steel pushing his armoured battle-hardened steed into every battle he was enlisted into. The Knight Commander was noticed again during the Saint Cyllia massacres when Commander Pask and his company gained at least 4 Titan-class kills, Pask himself shot the feared Ravager Class Titan Damnation Eternus hitting its plasma reactor with just one of his tank's battle cannon shells, destroying the mighty machine in a delayed but violent explosion that lit the sun-set sky, flinging pieces of the monstrous metal hard into the blood-soaked massacre's site.
Over time, Commander Pask has been in control and commanded every variant of the Leman Russ tank, knowing everything there is to know about them. He picks only the most educated and dedicated tank crew members with him, and has an eye for enemy weak spots. Only the bravest of fools enter the aim of the sharp-eyed intelligent Commander, and be it his chest of medals or legacy throughout tank legions both Chaos and Imperial, Command Pask is a highly feared tank expert throughout the known Galaxy.
