Background

In 913.998.M41, marines from the 4th and 5th companies engaged Chaos Space Marines of the Angels of Pain chapter as they raided the Trantation Station. After a running battle that lasted several days, the Red Scimitars defeated the renegades and forced them to retreat, but not before they vindictively bombarded the planet with a barrage of seismic missiles and virus bombs that rendered it uninhabitable for centuries.^[1]
