The Righteous Fury is a Strike Cruiser in the Ultramarines Chapter.[1]

History

It was part of the Joran IV Retaliation Force, under the command of Captain Jehnnus Ardias.[1] The Righteous Fury also often brought the Ultramarines' 2nd Company into battle, when they were led by Captain Lucian Trajan. This ended when the 2nd came to the aid of Beta-Arcturus after the world was invaded by the Asuryani of Craftworld Biel-Tan. Though the Company was victorious, with the Righteous Fury taking part by fighting the Xenos' warships, Trajan was killed near the end of the battle. The Strike Cruiser would then often serve his successor, Demetrian Titus, until Titus disappeared after he was taken into custody by Inquisitor Gerome Thrax, following the 2nd's victory in the Graia Invasion.[2a]

A century later,[2a] the Righteous Fury carried the Solblade strike force of the Ultramarines' Chief Librarian Varro Tigurius, as it took part in the Fourth Tyrannic War's Battle of Bastior. While the Strike Cruiser was traveling through the Warp to reach the besieged Bastior Sub-sector, though, Tigurius' psychic abilities found the soul of the long missing Captain Titus. This led the Chief Librarian to have the Righteous Fury head towards the Imperial world Kadaku, where Tigurius sensed Titus was located. Unbeknownst to the Ultramarines, the Captain was now a Deathwatch Blackshield of Watcher Keep and was among the Watch Fortress' Kill-Teams that were fighting to save Kadaku from Hive Fleet Grendyllus. By the time the Strike Cruiser arrived there, however, the world was nearly overrun and Titus had been severely wounded and left the only surviving member of his Kill-Team. While they were too late to save Kadaku, Tigurius' Solblade forces kept the Tyranids at bay long enough for the Deathwatch to escape the doomed world. This included Titus, but the Chief Librarian brought the wounded Captain aboard the Righteous Fury, so that he could be finally reunited with the Ultramarines and once more fight as part of his Chapter.[2b]
