Salamander (Creature)

A Salamander is a large lizard native to the volcanic world of Nocturne. The Salamanders Space Marine Chapter is named for these mighty beasts as Nocturne is their homeworld and had a part in the Chapters first beginnings. They play an important role in the trials that young recruits are put through to earn thier place in the chapter.

A particualy large and dangerous variety can be found on Mount Deathfire. These Salamaders can breath fire and are known as Firedrakes.
