Overview

A Smart Missile System is a system of missile launchers that fires self-propelled auto-tracking missiles. The tracking system is provided by a Drone-level artificial intelligence who makes the projectile completely independent of the firing unit. This allows for the firer to engage targets that are outside their line-of-sight, and the missiles are not affected by fighting in low-light or nighttime conditions.¹²

Presently, the Devilfish, Hammerhead and Sky Ray grav-tanks use Smart Missile Systems as secondary weapons. They are also used on Broadside Battlesuits by default and on the XV81 Crisis Battlesuit.
