The Space Marine Attack Bike (Trike) has a side-car that carries a crew-operated heavy weapon. This heavy weapon combined with the manoeuvrability of the Assault Bike makes it excellent at rapidly deploying large amounts of heavy fire-power to those areas which require it urgently.¹

Attack Bikes are normally formed into squadrons of two to three Attack Bikes and can be armed with either a heavy bolter or multi-melta - depending on their designated battlefield role - and each rider carries frag grenades to overwhelm unprotected infantry. Also, sometimes an Attack Bike may be part of a Bike Squadron.¹ They are commonly used in more motorised Space Marine forces such as the White Scars² and the Ravenwing of the Dark Angels.³ Variations on the naming and numbers of Attack Bikes are shown in the Space Wolves chapter, where only the Blood Claws ride bikes. They are known as head-strong and this is a good way for them to express this.⁴ Also, the Salamanders have less companies and so only the second, third and fourth companies have bikes in them.⁵
