Spear of Truth
The Spear of Truth is a Battle Barge that served in the Dark Angels Legion during the Great Crusade, where it was the flagship of Chapter Master Astelan's fleet. During the Crusade it took part in the invasion of the world of Byzanthis, after the diplomatic efforts of Chapter Masters Astelan and Belath failed to bring it peacefully into the Imperium.[1]
The Spear of Truth survived the ravages of the Horus Heresy and remained with the Dark Angels after they became a Chapter. It was later instrumental in helping to capture the Fallen Angel Sark Andour, after Interrogator-Chaplain Asmodai gave the order for it to fire upon the Imperium city of Hostengard where Sark was hidden (resulting in the deaths of fifty thousand of its citizens). This forced Sark to flee, allowing him to be caught after by the Deathwing.[2]
