A RavenersRavener appear to be related to both Rippers and is a Tyranid Warriors. These large, snake-like beasts are designed species adapted for fast assaults against light enemies , surprise raids and dig through swift pursuits. To achieve this, they are capable of burrowing under the ground to perform surprise raidsfor long distances and moving over all manner of terrain at alarming speeds. They can dig with great speedhave spade-like Scything Talons for digging, clawing their way through almost any substance with their spadesnake-like talons. Sensing vibrations on the surfacebodies for agile movement, they tunnel up to explode into enemy positions. Armed with symbiote weapons in their thorax, Raveners attack without warning. Due to their scout-like rolemounted weapon-symbiotes, Raveners have no need and they also bear some resemblance to be within range of a synapse creature to be effective combatantsthe Tyranid Warrior species.1
Raveners have highly sensitive auditory and visual senses that can detect a broad range of vibrations and energy bands, allowing them to hear small tremors on a planet's surface and giving them the unieuq ability to "see" energy-forms emitted by Vox transmissions, sensor-stealth technology and even Teleport Homers. They can effectively hunt prey by detecting an ungaurded signal and tracking it back its origin. Thus the enemies technology is turned against them, and any concealed outposts or infiltrators are not hidden from a Ravener.1

Raveners, like many Tyranid organisms, are essentially unthinking beasts when not under the influence of the Hive Mind. They lose all sense of priority, reverting to the animalistic joy of chasing down a panicked and fleeing foe rather than attacking closer targets that may be stationary.1
