The capital of the planet is the city most recent [[Imperium|Imperial]] records show a population of approximatly 12,000,000 [[Gue'vesa]] (humans) and [[Tarokeenabhuman]]s.^1a

When his treachery was unveiled, a team of [[Avenging SonsTau]] , and their [[Space MarinesKroot]] were dispatched to kill him, but they failed mercenary allies in their assignment after being intercepted by Tau bodyguards assigned to protect the governor. Following the assasination an attempt, the Tau officially annexed Taros while the Imperium gathered an army to recapture reclaim the planet. A large scale invasion followed, ending in defeat the name of the Imperial army[[Emperor]]. ^1d This defeat is partially credited to the defection of culminated in a large percentage of scale invasion including fleet actions within the population of [[Taros, including System]]^1e however in the Taros PDFend Imperial forces were forced to retreat after suffering heavy losses.^1f
