Each talon is powered by whipcord muscles to stab, slash, and eviscerate victims with lightning-fast swipes.<sup>{{Fn|2</sup> }} They are a widely used adaptation among Tyranids and can be seen on almost any Tyranid creature with any form of morphable bio-structure.<sup>{{Fn|1</sup>}}
