citeOrk Gargants are the largest land-based Ork fighting machines. Effigies of the Ork Gods Gork and Mork, these towering War Engines compare in size and power to Imperial Titans, dominating the battlefield with fearsome firepower. Because the Orks see them as embodying their Gods, they also serve as massive inspiration to the green horde as it charges into battle, and are the pride and joy of the Warbosses who caused them to be built.
Like all things OrkyNot as technologically advanced as their Imperial rivals, there Gargants are still lumbering war engines of destruction, entirely capable of annihilating enemy companies. A 'standard' bipedal Gargant is no standard configurationnormally around the height of a four storey building, but they fall into if that building had several approximate categories based on their sizelarge guns and kustom power fields bolted onto it. A standard typical Ork Gargant compares in effectiveness to (if there can be such a Warlord Titan and usually has two thing) may field 2 or 3 'Soopaguns' - Titan-killer class Killer equivalent ballistic weapons as its main armament and . It may also sport a small number of additional weapons, likely built into the chest or head sections. A massive Titan close-combat weapon (chainsword or similar)may also feature, likely a Mega-Choppa. Gargants of this configuration with such choppy attachments are sometimes referred to as Slasherz' and are usually bipedal or Slasher-Gargants.
Larger Gargants carrying more weapons ==Other Gargant Types==Like all things Orky, there are referred to as Great Gargants. These are a rarer sight due to their increased costno standard configurations of Gargant, but are massively effective when deployedthey do fall into several approximate types based on their size. These are also usually bipedal, but only the wealthiest of *Stompers*Mekboy Gargants*Great Gargants*Gargantses can afford such machines.
Largest of all are the Mega Gargants. Only a few of these machines have ever been seen and they are an armoured fortress of unparalleled destructive power. Usually moving on three tracks, Mega Gargants have the most powerful, destructive and, it has to be said, imaginative weapons in Orkdom. They are invariably multi-limbed and bristling with weapons from every possibly mounting.== Sources == Sometimes, a Warboss will be unable to afford a full sized Gargant to go waaagh-ing in, so they will persuade their Mekboys to build them one or more *Armageddon Rulebooks. These can be bipedal or tracked and take the form of a small Gargant. They may mount anti-infantry, anti-vehicle or occasionally, a titan-killer weapon, and are still fiercely effective when used correctly. Larger Stompers are called Super Stompers or occasionally, Mekboy Gargants.
