Storm Shield

The Storm Shield is used by the Space Marines and Daemonhunters and is a more advanced and bulky version of the Combat Shield, providing better defence. It is however, much larger and requires the use of one hand and so preventing the use of two combat weapons. The shield itself incorporates a small energy field generator which is too small for use against ranged weaponry but is useful in combat1. It is shaped like the Crux Terminatus and draws its energy from the Terminator suit itself. When activated it shimmers with blue energy and blue sparks leap off of it when it is struck. It was named the Storm Shield because of the constant hum and the smell of the ozone it gives off. It is often paired with a Thunder Hammer2.
