Storm Trooper Strike Force
The Storm Trooper Strike Force was a military unit within the Imperial Guard which consisted of one of the most elite fighting forces within the Imperium.[1]
During exceptional circumstances, several squads of Storm Troopers were often required to combine their forces in order to strike at heavily defended but vital objectives. Their role was typically not to hold or secure the location, but rather to eliminate all enemy presence within the vicinity and scour any threat from the position. Casualties that were sustained in such operations were invariably high with death being the only glory that awaited those that took part in these missions. To the Storm Troopers of these strike forces, there was no better way to test their skills and no greater honour than to die in battle.[1]
Strike Force regiments was one of the few that had a permanent pool of Valkyrie Assault Carriers which took them to battle. The speed of these aircraft allowed the Storm Troopers to be delivered to their mission coordinates allowing them to take the enemy by surprise where they smashed through windows and doors before they enemy was capable of mounting effective resistance. The Valkyries themselves provide covering fire for the Storm Troopers as they moved towards their objective. Without pause or hesitation, the Storm Troopers sweeped through the enemy held structure where they cut down their quarry with efficient bursts of high-powered lasfire.[1]
