Talk:Aquila
From Lexicanum
Two head touches for sign? Cheeks, eyes, or forehead sides possibly? (less like a cross) And possibly two chest ones for each talon.Zougeiro no sasori 00:49, 12 March 2008 (CET)'
I've been told that it is simply putting both hands on your chest, palms against you and crossing your thumbs, forming the Aquila with the thumbs as the heads. I have no real ground for this though... I suppose it's quicker than the much more ceremonial "crossing", especially if used by Marines as a quick greeting (I think it is used in the Horus Heresy novels, for example, and the old 'Fist against the Heart' greeting as well, which I suppose would be an equally quick greeting). Sorry for babbling. --Aither 01:21, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
After Heresy?
What's the source for that? "Flight of the Eisenstein" gives NO WORD about the Imperium and Mechanicus!!! THIS IS HERESY!
- Also, I own the 3rd edition Guard codex, 2nd codex. There is no mention whatsoever of the "sign of the Aquila". --Rye 19:53, 16 October 2008 (CEST)
- You check the source at it is not there? = remove it. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 21:01, 16 October 2008 (CEST)
