Editing the article

The new trailers for Dawn of War 3 released in 2016 clearly show that Gabriel Angelos is the Chapter Master. The current note says its ambiguous depending on which Retribution ending is canon. Can this please be amended? Deadshot (talk) 07:51, 30 August 2016 (MDT)

In DoWDC if the Word Bearers assault the Blood Ravens home province theres a scene were Thule calls Eliphas a bastard, and the Dark Apostle says he should not insult his lineage when Thule himself knows nothing of his true lineage, and refers to him ad brother. Thule says they are not brothers, but Eliphas just laughs. This lends the possibility of the Blood Ravens having Lorgar as their primarch.

1. Please sign comments by writing four tildes: ~
2. The "brother" might simply refer to them both being Space Marines.
3. Chaos-worhsippers turn lying into a habit ;-) --DetlefK 22:27, 11 July 2013 (CEST)

Ive been looking up the notable blood ravens but however I cannot find Apollo Diomaties First Captain of the Blood ravens which you see he is in dawn of war II chaos rising and here is my proof http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKFSSxUWkM8 however you need to skip some of it to view Diomaties using a jump pack and slaying a chaos sorcerer --user:Chief Librariam Eagle Eye, 16 november 2010, 6:28pm (UTC+09:30) Adelaide

I'd like to dispute one of the entries on the page. The Blood Ravens were never on Lorn V in Winter Assault. The Space Marines in the Assault of Lorn V were Ultramarines led by Chaplain Varnus. -- Kokuten

They weren't in the game DOW:winter assualt but it was stated that the 9th company was deployed to Lorn V in DOW: Tempest - Emb

If you are sure of that - remove it. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 21:40, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

we'd like to but the editing rights have been removed - emb

Azariah Kyras is no longer the chapter master, Angelos is. Azariah Kyras was confirmed to turn to chaos and was destroyed in the events of Dawn of War 2 Retribution -Brother Ghost 7:10PM CST 10 March 2011

I agree to this. Azariah Kyras is no longer the chapter master Gabriel Angelos is now and should be changed to that. --XeroNecross-The Warmaster 2:00PM EST March 20 2011

You can do it now, as long as you cite it correctly. We have to keep a close eye on this page as people like to come along and insert fan-fluff all over the place, so please make sure if you are adding things they are entered according to Lexicanum procedure...as they'll just be removed if not. Thanks!--Mob 00:16, 21 March 2011 (CET)

I've just finished reading Age of Darkness in the Horus Heresy Series. The Loyal Thousand Sons Marine Arvida mentions, "Knowledge is power,"and the narrator make a point out of the emblem of the black ravens head emblem and the serpentine star on the marines shoulder guard. This reference to the motto of the Blood Ravens and a possible parentage of the Blood Ravens emblem are strong clues IMO. So I suggest we add this under the Thousand Sons in the possible parentage section. - tjr0001 12:21am EST 15 June 2012

I won't add anything, that's your job! ;-)

Battles

I would like to say that it wasn't the Blood Ravens that fought on Lorn V in Winter Assault, as it actually was the Ultramarines. Regards TarkorEvangelus 23:01 21.03.2011

A pretty common mistake. Feel free to correct it. --DetlefK 23:06, 21 March 2011 (CET)
In the game it was Ultramarines but in the books it is mentioned that the Blood Ravens 9th Company was also involved

Didn't the Blood Ravens have a battle with the Thousand Son's Legion? Shardmind 12:40, 25 March 2011

The Prodigal Sons fought some Blood Ravens on Arcadia. Third BR novel.--Mob 03:19, 25 March 2011 (CET)
It was mentioned in the third BR book that they fought the Thousand sons along side the Black Templars and that Jonas nearly got into a fight with a BT chaplain - Emb 10/06/2011

Rewrite

Article has been rewritten both to fit in with new standards and to cull some of the crap, though it could stand further improvement. Future additions must be cited and sourced correctly, or they will just be removed. Please only put fluffed-out characters into the character list on this page; other characters should go on the linked Known Members page. Please don't just stick in speculation about the Blood Ravens origins unless it is sourced; this stuff exists in official material (the IA and the BR omnibus come to mind) so it is valid information that should be on the page, but please source it and only use the info providedin the texts. Basically, stop fancrufting this page, please. Thanks.--Mob 06:09, 13 April 2011 (CEST)

Let's get straight here

Okay, so it is presumed here that the Space Marines won in Retribution? Because if it is not, something has to be rewritten. Thus, the fate of Thule, Angelos, and, hell, the chapter itself isn't as clear as shown on the page.

--- Da Littnob, 0:45 16/04/2011 GMT+?

Please add or change as necessary as long as you source it; the page is nowhere near complete; it was rewritten to a 'base' level to get rid of all the unsourced crap that people insist on adding to it and so we could be strict about future additions. You don't need to add in detailed chunks about individual characters to this page when the info would be better suited to their own pages. Thanks!--Mob 23:19, 17 April 2011 (CEST)

Got it then. More citations, then... And rewriting Angelos' article too, then. And shouldn't Seraphis go to Renegades then? Are the ones who were banished from the chapter considered as renegades?

---Da Littnob, 1:25 16/04/2011 GMT+?

If they are 'bad guys', then yeah, I guess.--Mob 23:33, 17 April 2011 (CEST)

Updating

This page is locked to normal users but requires updating for the events of Dawn of War III. Having someone with the power to fix this would be appreciated.--Harriticus (talk) 23:38, 18 December 2017 (MST)

I will un-protect the article. At least until somebody proves yet again it needs protection. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 15:36, 14 April 2019 (MDT)
