Talk:Executioners

This particular statement is rubbish: "The main evidence of this is their Chapter organisation and unit markings which are the exact same as the Blood Angels Chapter and their successors."

Point 1: What is the source for the chapters organisation?

Point 2: The Executioners display squad colour on the marines right shoulderpad whilst the Blood Angels use their helmet - that removes "exact" from the equation.

Point 3: Blood Angels use helmet colour to denote squad, scouts do not use helmets.. so what is the colour for BA scout squads?

Point 4: Executioner Support Squads use purple pads, Blood Angel Devastators use Blue helmets - the colours are close, but the Codex Astartes uses the two colours to destinguish between companies 7 and 9, doesn't that indicate that the Astartes regard the colours as separate?

Point 5: The art in the Raven Guards Index Astartes article showed the Raven Guard using standard codex squad markings in white, however it also appeared to suggest that the right shoulderpad trim colour was also dictated by the squad type rather than company which I'd say is a damned site closer than the Blood Angels use of helmet.

Point 6: Executioner Tactical squads have green pads - thats a prett major deviation from the Blood Angels use of red helmets for tacticals, it is however a match for the colour used by the Raven Guard in their IA.

Oh and now I've got that rant out of the way, I believe that: "The Executioners Chapter was created in a Founding during 598.M35, created to help relieve the White Scars in monitoring and countering the many threats taking refuge within the Maelstrom." May actually be canon, however it certainly doesn't come from the only source listed.

Removed dubious information. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 09:36, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

I´m fairly new to the warhammer 40k universe, but do scouts normally wear full power armour? If they don´t, then the picture should be changed to some other color. Just throwing that in this discussion.

Scout Armour has some kind of shoulder pads, so where's the problem? --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 22:04, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
It´s just that the marine in the chapter summary is wearing full power armour, but also has a red shoulder pad. It´s not a big thing, only trying to get the details right. I would make a new picture myself and put it up for discussion, I am just not that good with graphics. --spuppy 12:45, 21 Feb 2010 CET
I'm not even sure that this is an official image. Could easily be fan-made. But you are right. If you cross-check to the German Lex we have a different pic. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 14:57, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

I added that the chapter is of the Imperial Fists gene seed, I also added where I found it in the sources section. I am new at editing this stuff, so if someone could look though and double check my work that would be great. Thanks.

I've updated the page as much as I could given the new information from Imperial Armour 10. I can't do anything about the old model image though, as IA 10 wasn't helpful in that regard. --Myssa Rei 22:13, 22 Mar 2011 GMT+8:00

No problem Myssa, great of you to have updated the article with fluff. Maybe I can search for a new model picture or just paint one up myself and stick it there. I'll have to see if it's allowed. --BrotherLudovic 13:15, 29 March 2011 (CEST)
