Was there not something about Abaddon destroying the corpse of Horus?

Wasn't like something when Horus' corpse was stolen by the Emperor's children, and because the sons of horus (at this period) lost their leader, they chose abaddon to be their new leader. and then abaddon led men to retrieve the corpse and destroyed it? --Vindicta

I thought they abandoned the name Horus (Sons of Horus) because Horus had failed in his duty to destroy the Emperor and didn't want a disgrace as leading their armies. Not entirly sure on this however, and I have no Chaotic related reliable sources (plenty of unreliable ones however...) I dont know anything about what happened to the body after it was fried by the Emperor. --Jonru 19:55, 12 February 2006 (CET)

Yes they did abandon the name Sons of Horus because he had failed to destroy the Emperor. But this happened, when Abaddon took charge. I believe it was his idea in the first place. --Vindicta 03:48, 19 February 2006 (CET)

Sons of Horus -> Black Legion

After the Horus Heresey failed, the Sons of Horus roamed the eye of terror for awhile. During this time they were leaderless and kinda lost because their Legion relied heavily on the chain of commmand. So when Horus died they basically didn't really know what to do.

When they found out that Horus's body was stolen and was being experimented on. I believe one of the other traitor legions was trying to clone him. So the Abanddon lend the Sons of Horus in destroying the body and all the clones. This is where he took the lightening claw from Horus.

Abaddon saw how heavily the legion depended on Horus and declared that they would renamed themselves to detach them from their primarch and also show their greif. Thus the Black Legion was named.

Yes indeed, I do remember reading that somewhere about the body being experimented on by other legions, but I can't remember where. Just goes to show you can't believe everything Wikipedia says!--Jonru 08:46, 19 February 2006 (CET)

Miniatures pic

Another rather duff picture that#s going to be removed unless anyone particularly objects. Thanks.--Mob 17:54, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
