Talk:Horus Heresy (Artbook Series)
From Lexicanum
Re: moving Malcador here, the character also appears in one of the Horus Heresy novels. I note this only because of the reason given for the move, in case it has any bearing upon your choice. Thanks.--Mob 10:45, 28 June 2007 (CEST)
- The section on Malcador comes from an alternate background for the Golden Throne based on the Horus Heresy card game (not on the traditional Warhammer 40,000 game). If Malcador is mentioned in the other book in great detail, please point out on my talk page which book and a little bit about it so I can look it up. I just don't want people to be confused with some of the alternate "flavor" created for Sabertooth games. SanchiTachi 17:00, 28 June 2007 (CEST)
Canon Conflict
Just a list of things that are problematic with the Horus Heresy Visions and Horus Heresy novel series. Add more if you can point out other things in the books that are just too contradictory for words :) SanchiTachi 08:09, 11 July 2007 (CEST)
1. Flight of Eisenstein - most of the details are really wrong, change dramatically, etc
2. No Daemons using the Golden Throne to get in - Golden Throne was created after the Emperor went down, and that was a big point
3. Sanguinius did not face the daemon from the Imperial Walls at another planet, nor never before
4. Eisenstein loyalists didn't get turned into Grey Knights or Inquisitor, their origins are different
5. The Emperor did not know the future around the Horus Heresy and never did, it was a gap
6. Custodes didn't go onto Horus's Ship
7. The Emperor did not know Horus would drop the shield, and the shield was only dropped to gain a look using psychics/lure the Emperor on, it couldn't have been shot regardless, as the defenses could not reach them
8. The Golden Throne is different than described, it is part stasis, part conduit to focus energy
9. The Emperor was able to communicate for to a year after his body was blasted
