Just edited a bit, links, paragraphs... but I was wondering... shouldn't the info on Regiments be more in it's place in the Regiment article? -- JoeneB, 22 December 2006, 0:32 (CET)

I think it¨s reasonable to have at least a bit of info on regimental structure in the Guard structure section, which could then be fleshed out further in the Regiment section. Another thing, I've always got the impression that regiments aren't added to after initial founding, and this seems reasonable since regiments are often far away from their home worlds and it would be difficult and expensive to send small groups of fresh recruits every now and then. But I'm reading the third Ciaphas Cain book by Sandy Mitchell right now, and in that book it says that most Guard regiments are added to every now and then as they suffer casualties, with there being recruitment offices run by the munitorum on most worlds. This creates a bit of a problem canon wise, since GW seems to be contradicting themselves in different sources (though I can't be sure I've seen them explicitly state that regiments aren't added to after founding, it seems to have been implicit in many texts). Maybe something like this could be edited in - most regiments have a steady trickle of new recruits flowing in from munitorum recruitment stations on the regiment's home world to replace casualties, though this is not generally enough to counter the gradual decline of the regiment. It would seem silly to me if they just abandoned them to a slow and painful death. Imagine if a regiment is wiped out down to a couple of platoons of guardsmen, more than can be easily merged with another force but less than is combat effective. At that point i'd say they would be reinforced. From there one can fairly securely say that guard regiments are reinforced. My thoughts only.--Jonru 17:09, 22 December 2006 (CET)

I had to remove information and change it, because there was too much excess, or things inaccurate, or things not official. Included was the information Forgeworld products that should be moved to a page that I will create. I will also make a page for Rogue Trader and Third Edition IG army lists.
