Once this is cited, I believe many of these problems can be worked out, but I suppose many of these questions are directed at the user lord of warhammer:

After reading many(50+ WH40K novels) and glancing over a couple codexes, i have never seen mention of robot classes, or robots at all, due to the very nature of the Imperium. In one of the Heresy novels, it was stated that the Imperium could not tolerate artifical intelligences to do anything more then serve drinks, so instead, servitors were employed. The "I Robot Syndrome".

A Castellan is a crusade leader of the Dark Angels(I beleive) and praetoria is a Hive City... I know this for sure. Disambiguation pages are surely needed.

While I did fix up the page to bring it to lexicanum stardards, I fear some of this material may be non-canon or fan-fluff.

(Over-vigilance is a trait of an Inquisitor. Haha.) --Psyco 00:53, 10 May 2007 (CEST)

There's a page here on the Lexicanum for Praetorian Servitors, which I believe are the praetorians he's referring to, as opposed to the planet or the Imperial Guard regiment. --Rooney
Well, thats one problem solved... I'll set up a disambiguation page. --Psyco 21:32, 10 May 2007 (CEST) EDIT: Done, but I think it would be easier just to remove the praetorian servitor link from the page, as the servitor link will take one there anyway. --Psyco 21:43, 10 May 2007 (CEST)
Back in first/second edition there were robots called those names, its in the warhammer compilation or something. Not with my books right now but ill have a look at some point. Also praetorian servitors exist, tho im not sure of the source--Jonru 22:05, 10 May 2007 (CEST)
We've solved the praetorian issue, its just the 7 other problems...haha. Thanks in advance, Jonru. --Psyco 10:56, 11 May 2007 (CEST)

Canon

Can we get a note stating that this article is non-canon? An example of this is the novel "First and Only" where the so called "Men of Iron" are stated to be something along the lines of heretical. I can also recall other sources which call artifical inteligence's as hertical in the eyes of the Imperium, the Emperor himself apparently dictated this at one point I think, stating that he never again wished for there to be an artificial intelegence which could threaten mankind-referenced in the men of iron article I think. If the use of robots had been deemed as one of the greatest herises in the Imperium, then why would they-or something dangerously close to them-be allowed to be used by many branches of the Imperium?Wyrmalla 18:31, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Yes, we need an edition template, like in the German Lexicanum.--Lexstealer, Magus 19:48, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
This response is almost 2 years late - but for the sake of completeness I am posting anyway. The models of robot from the old rogue trader era are mentioned again in 1st Heretic - so are definately still "current canon". The Lemur 05:16, 1 March 2012 (CET)
