I've read on the Web that there is an extract in the 5th Ed Space Marine Codex where Calgar took down an Avatar in single-handed combat after repeated failures to do so by the Ultramarines. I don't know the exact details, but if anybody has the Codex handy, it is well worth a mention. --Cherubael 03:00, 12 November 2008 (CET)

It seems that the mention of Marneus Calgar having lost all four limbs mentioned in the opening paragraph of this page should be removed, as neither the 3rd, 4th or 5th space Marine codexs mention this fact. --Allseeingeye925 23:01, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
