Talk:Soul Drinkers

I'm inclined to disagree with the chapter strength note; unless the number of successful scouts draughted approached 3:1 after Bleeding Chalice; there is no way they would have been able to replace the losses incurred by their (un)successful suicide misions. I'll doubtless rererereead the omnibus with this oversight in mind :|

Chapter's numbers are based on the most recent book, "Hellforged." --Lygris 19:42, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Just worth a mention as I don't have the time to update this as much as I have been anymore. Just finished Phalanx (The latest and last book) and the Soul Drinkers numbers are reduced to 0, with Sarpedon, Luko and I think Pallas crossing through a Warp Portal and the rest of the survivors being killed fighting Imperial Fists/Howling Griffons/Crimson Fists etc. and some Daemons on the Phalanx. --Kobun 20:51 (BST) 28/10/11

Renegade Chapter

I disagree with the designation as a renegade chapter. It may seem that way to the imperium lackys who have not seen the light but the chapters stated purpose "We serve the emperor, not the Imperium" clearly hows that they should not be in the same category as the Chaos Marines who serve the various chaos gods. There should be a third category, Liberated Chaptes.

"Honor is not a toy for children, it is a concept better left to men, and enforced by my blade"

I'm sure the Chaos Legions would love that title too. But they're not Chaos marines, nor are they following the will of the Imperium. Renegade is a fine name. --Lygris 19:53, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Sir, Saying that the Soul Drinkers are renegades would be like saying Inquisitor Lord Gregor Eisenhorn is a cultist of chaos. Also, you said your self they are not choas marines and they are not following the will of the Imperium. So which are they? Neither. Therefore, I second a new category liberated Chapters.

Sourcing

As requested, I've sourced some of the additions/changes I've made to the page, principally where one can go to follow the progression of the Soul Drinkers' losses. The rest of my additions are largely plot overviews of the earlier novels, to help fill some of the (large) holes in the History sections. I am uncertain how best to source these additions.

the founding

Just wanted to know, according to any archives, White dwarfs or whatever, are their any founding chapters of the Soul drinkers, or significant people that left the chapter at any particular time?

KoBpa's Kp33d, for KI

You mean descendant chapters? No. Most of the information is to be found in the novel series. And the Forum is the place for this kind of questions, thx. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 11:58, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Ve'Meth

I just reread the omnibus. Isn't Ve'Meth just a greater daemon of Nurgle? --Lygris 19:42, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
