Talk:Thousand Sons
From Lexicanum
Just had a thought - if all the Marines of the Thousand Sons have been turned to dust, then so would their gene-seed. Therefore how on earth (or 'in the warp' as the case may be) can they replenish the numbers of the Thousand Sons? Any thoughts?--Jonru 19:58, 31 October 2007 (CET)
- Not all of them have been turned to dust, only those with no or very weak psykic powers. I suppose that fallen in battle (in case of a "dust marine" -whatever) can be resurected again by the sorcerers, and that the gene-seed of the sorcerers is collected as standard. You should read the Space wolf novels. In the third novel Magnus the Red tries to create a stable Warp portal through which all of the Thousand Sons, "even the ones which had died allready" can enter an Imperial planet. The way i understood it, all the Thousand Sons were turned to dust - only those with the force of will (psykers) to retain thier personalities remained inderpendant - the others became mindless automitons. I might have that wrong, but that certainly seems to me to be the 'facts' according to the Index Astartes article.
Ok, I've taken the following out of the article:
In both instances Ragnar Blackmane defeated Madox and cast the spear into a partially manifested Magnus' and destroyed both him, and the spear.
Destroyed Magnus? Ragnar threw the spear into a partially manifested Magnus and destroyed him twice? I've replaced it with:
In this instance, Ragnar Blackmane defeated Madox and cast the spear into a partially manifested Magnus, destroying the spear.

why did the space wolves fight the thousand sons
i know that magnus the red never stopped using magic and became addicted to it but why if he used it to warn the imperium that the space wolves attacked them as if they tried to attack the imperium
- The Space Wolves were ordered to attack the Thousand Sons because of Magnus' refusal to give up using psychic powers as he had been ordered to by the Emperor.--Jonru 11:47, 7 September 2008 (CEST)
