Talk:Trail of Saint Evisser

"Imperial" is a lousy job description, can we give the poor man a decent title? What was he? An inquisitor? --Madness 13:45, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

He was a saint. Therefore the Saint part of his name should come out and he should be just Evisser, as we don't do titles in links.--Jonru 13:47, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Well I mean the man was not even a saint he was a tool used by chaos which I planned on covering when I covering his birth and such. OK noted, I will remove the saint from the link. --Alpheus 0118, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
If he was known by Saint Evisser, that's his definition, even it he wasn't an actual saint. But beside being a (fake) saint, what was his job? How was he able to travel around to diffuse (allegedly) the Word of the Emperor? --Madness 10:08, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
P.S.: I looked around, apparently he was an obscure official of the administratum who somehow managed to become a well known demagogue. Can someone verify this? If so, can it be integrated in the article? --Madness 10:14, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
I think it should be on the Evisser article rather than the trail, as it's about the route more than the person (unless it was his pilgrimage which really turned him into saint figure aka there was a real change in his status in the eyes of the people from the beginning to the end). I think a mention of when he was if it exists would also be useful :). --Jonru 10:25, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
I've made some alterations (following). Have a read and take from it what you think is better and not what is worse :) A few spelling changes and a few reordering of words/sentences and clarifications. Enjoy :) --Jonru 11:20, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes, he was an adept, but I planned on setting up a page on him as soon as I was able to complete all of the information that I could. I also planned to put on his page what is was and what happened to him, also what miracles he worked. Also, I planned on writing about how he and the entire trail was created by the demon just to complete his manifestation. Where could I find a picture for this? --Alpheus 1710, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
I did some research and I could not find anything that gave an exact date as to the time Evisser traveled. The only thing that I have come across was that it was before the demon was banished the first time.--Alpheus 1758, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
I agree that we shouldn't go into detail, but ONE adjective to describe who this Evisser was is mandatory.
I have no problem with that. I am just wondering what you are looking for. I am at a loss. Could you give me an example. I would really appreciated it. Should I just write a sentence talking about he was a survivor of a greenskin attack and would not return to work as an adept but began preaching, or should I leave that for his page?--Alpheus 2028, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
I was wondering if i should add that the grey knights discovered that the Saint and the entire trail was all created by the demon to allow for his remanifestation even before he was banished the first time? That would place the rise of the saint somewhere at least 1,000 years before the grey knights travelled to the system.--Alpheus 2006, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
"The Trail of Saint Evisser a collection of systems visited by the Saint Evisser during his pilgrimage" This sentence is basically perfect, but in Warhammer 40000 saints aren't just saints, they are extraordinary people who are elevated to the status of a saint. Why is this Evisser so out of the ordinary? How did he get so powerful that he reached sanctity? If he was an Inquisitor, an Adepta Sororitas Canoness, a Rogue Trader, a Primaris Psyker, a Confessor/Missionary/Preacher of the Ministrorum I could understand, but right now I can't place that guy anywhere, I only know he got to become a saint. --Madness 20:57, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
I understand that but this guy was really a nobody. He was an adept that refused to return to work after surviving an ork incursion. He started talking about his survival and then started preaching but he was never canonized and he was never a priest. He was a tool of chaos to create the trail. The church never acknowledged him. They hid the fact that he was not canonized and let the trail and everyone on the trail call him a saint. That is why I am having an issue giving him a name or title. -Alpheus 0134, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
That is basically the gist of it. Trail of Saint Evisser is the system's official name, and should not be changed. But the article should be moved to "Trail of Saint Evisser", without the "The". --Cherubael 23:58, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
How do you like it now? --Madness 00:26, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Works for me, guess I should not have picked such a strange story as my first ever post. Thanks for all of the help on this one to everyone that contributed to my growing pains.--Alpheus 0405, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Are you kidding me? You just contributed in a major way to one of the best written article in here. We need more of that! Now for the article to be perfect we just need an image outlining the sector area, and to fill all the red links with non-stub-quality articles.--Madness 02:40, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Alright I will get started. --Alpheus 1903, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Try editing this image http://www.darkmillennia.net/images/GMap.jpg and mark the area, I'll convert it to our usual format. --Madness 16:27, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Location

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the section three (titan) of grey knight it clearly states "The Trail of St Evisser was a set of systems to the galactic east of the Segmentum Solar, linked by association with an Imperial saint". Am I reading it wrong? --Madness 23:09, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

It is the Galactic west of the Segmentum Solar, I just checked Grey Knights, it is on p. 55 or the beginning of chapter 4.--Alpheus 0218, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Weird, I saw that too, it contradicts itself. Weird. Anyway, I think the article is done now. --Madness 23:22, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
