Talk:Ursarkar E. Creed

According to the Black Crusades article, the 8th Black Crusade occurred in M37... how would Creed have been found as a child back then?

Come to think of it, it doesn't seem as if any of the Black Crusades occurred at a time that would coincide with Creed's childhood... unless the man is 860 years old or so and dates back to the 12th.

EDIT: the 5th edition Imperial Guard Codex has a "young Ursarkar Creed and his Whiteshield Squad" fighting in the Drussite Crusade as of 975.M41. As Whiteshields/Cadian Youth Armies are meant to be units of teenagers, that would probably mean Creed he was found only a few years earlier.

Thoughts?

Do not use other Lexicanum articles as sources. Check footnotes for dubious information in articles. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 15:29, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Fair enough... But the 5E IG Codex and 40k timeline (insofar as the placement of the 8th Black Crusade goes) contradict the actual Ursarkar Creed article. The former gives a date for his youth in the last 3 decades of M41, while the latter occurred before M41.  :)

Which 40K timeline? And which source says that Creed was found during the 8th crusade? And does the information in the Creed article have a source? --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 17:27, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

The paragraph about Creed being found is copied almost verbatim from the cited source: page 57 of the current codex, however no reference to the 8th Black Crusade is present on the cited page (nor in the entire book as far as I'm aware), looking at the history the 8th Black Crusade reference has been part of this article since it was created in 2005 where no source was listed. ~ Gashrog, 25 Mar 2013

Fair point. I've edited the article, until someone can refer to the earlier Codices and see if it references the battle Creed was caught up in.--Proteus77 01:53, 26 March 2013 (CET)
