Is Vox Caster just the Imperial Term for Radio?--Zor 08:58, 17 September 2008 (CEST)

Basically, yes.--Jonru 21:01, 18 September 2008 (CEST)

not really,it also has planetary/fleet range.

A sufficiently strong enough radio can easily reach something in orbit. Th232 07:40, 11 October 2008 (CEST)

Additional

Can we get some notes in here stating that Vox Casters are often found within military builiding too, as well as outside the military too-ie in the case of the novel "The guns of tanith" there is a large vox caster found within the main power station of the city of Cirelholm? Also a note about how smaller personal sized units are commonly used by Imperial soldiers, from Guardsmen to Space Marines (the space marine one being able to project the user's voice over a large distance like a speaker), which can be used for soldier to soldier transmissions-with, as the article states, vox casters being used for longer transmissions? In the user's of Vox Casters section it might be worth adding that many Imperial Guard vehicles are also outfitted with them as well.

Refs for personal transmitters: Guard, the gaunt's ghosts novel series in which they appear frequently, space marines, numerous short stories as well as the novel "eye of terror".
