The Lost Halo is a Force Field used by the Howling Griffons Chapter with a long and glorious history in the Angevin Crusade. It protected the Space Marines of the Howling Griffons from the xenos that claimed the Calyx Expanse. It disappeared from Chapter records after the crusade's conclusion, and was not heard of again for centuries. Shortly before the Jericho Warp Gate was discovered, the Omega Vault yielded up the Lost Halo for unknown reasons - and without any clue as to how it had arrived there. [1]
