The War For Congregus began when the Imperial world was invaded by the Rok fleet of the[1] Ork Speedboss Grozbok[2]

History

This brought down an immediate apocalyptic devastation upon Congregus, which as an Industrial World had its interior honeycombed with mines and subterranean macrofactorums. Grozbok's invasion led to the world's crust fragmenting and it began spewing magma on Congregus' surface. The magma would go on to swallow nearly half of the world's surface before it stopped and in the aftermath only islands of bedrock were left amidst a swirling sea of fire. These islands contained Imperial cities and fortifications that survived the catastrophe and they sent out a plea for aid; as many of Grozbok's Orks had also survived from within their now floating Roks. The Warboss's hordes soon turned their Roks into airstrips, from which they launched attacks on Congregus' surviving population. Luckily Congregus' plea for aid was heard by the Imperium and it was determined the world could not be allowed to fall to the Orks[1]. An Ultramarines, House Terryn[2] and Imperial Navy strike force, are now attacking Grozbok's forces for control of Congregus' islands.[1]
