Overview
Prior to the ork invasion, Tigrus was known as the site of the original development of the Vanquisher cannon[1] and Fellblade Accelerator Cannon.[3] In addition it was the only production site of Hunter Shells for the Leman Russ Battle Cannon.[2]
Tigrus also produced Boltguns[4] and Bolt Pistols.[5]
History
Situated between Ultramar and the Eastern Fringe, Tigrus had a reputation of being a stout supporter of the Great Crusade.[6]
During the Shadow Crusade the Word Bearers and World Eaters sought to isolate and destroy Tigrus before it could move its support to the Ultramarines, but due to the Battle of Calth only a small traitor force managed to arrive. The ruling Magi of Tigrus were able to scatter the traitor host and then subsequently launched a counteroffensive into the greater Eastern Fringe.[6]
Tigrus was overrun by the orks of the Warlord Arrgard the Defiler in M35. Even into late M41, it was still in ork hands.[1]
