I have made my Interview of Pikar, as you requested, and have found no taint, as expected. Personally, I thin Pikar is dangerous, on the edge, and possible a liability, but he gets the job done.

Pikar was born 952.M41 in the Schola Progenium on Cadia. His father was a cornel in the Death Korps of Kreig. Command and his mother was a Cadian Lieutenant distant cousin of Castellan Ursarkar E. Creed. Both died in the Siege of Hive Hades during the Second War for Armageddon. The young Pikar was brought into the Schola Progenium on Macharia. This had an enormous psychological affect on Pikar; he visited Lord Commander Solar Macharius Tomb weekly, and once said “Save a spot for me up there in the honor roll, old man.” Upon graduation from the Schola, He was attached to the Masseern 616th Infantry. His men became extremely attached to him, affectionately calling him “the short Sergeant.” (Ironic, considering he is 6’5” tall). The Masseern Legions were patrolling the Segmentum tempiestus for Eldar raids, and the entire army was inching for a reel fight. They got their wish. The outbreak of the Third War for Armageddon found Pikar chomping at the bit to get a piece of the action. The war was, however, brutal. The commander of the expedition, General Arials and much of his command staff where killed by a stray round from friendly artillery. The only person capable of commanding the expedition now was the Commissar, holding out long enough for supplies to reach Yarrick and buy the Imperium time. After the battle, Pikar accepted the ceremonial (or intended to be ceremonial) title of Commissar-Marshall. After the war, Pikar and his forces returned to Masseern for some much-needed R&R and for recruit reinforcements. They would not get that rest. Despite being far from the eastern fringe, a major T'au invasion force led by Commander Shas’O T’au Mont’yr Ve’tam Kasis (also known as Commander Brutal) himself attacked the distant Segmentum Obscurous Hive. Several regiments openly considered joining the foul Xenos. Upon hearing this disquieting, Pikar declared that “Any man who even looks at those Blue Freaks with anything less than pure Hate in there eyes shall have even more to fear from me than they have to fear from the wrath of The Emperor Himself! You will keep your faith in Him, even if I have to personally kill you in the process!” Needless to say the Regiments quickly returned to the imperial fold. The war only lasted a few weeks before Brutal was beaten and forced to make the long journey back to T’au space. But before leaving, he sent a personal message to Pikar. The exact contents of the message are unknown, but when asked about it, Pikar chuckled and said “Blue freak has got a way with word’s, I’ll say that much for him.” Pikar was a hero. Hailed as Pikar: the protector of Masseern. He insisted that he was just a simple soldier, nothing more, but that didn’t stop sector wide hero worship. He was to Masseern what Yarrick was to Armageddon. Rather than use this newly found respect to command larger armies, Pikar is content with his command of the 3rd legion (albeit, the 3rd legion consists of well over 10 million men, but this is less than he could have requisitioned considering) The role of a legion is not a unified fighting force traditionally, but instead is spread across the entire Imperium. However, this changed with the outbreak of the 13th Black Crusade. The raw mass of troops needed to hold back the tide of chaos necessitated that the concept of the legion be altered drastically. Pikar thieved on this new style of command. Pikar was a Regimental commander at hart, preferring to be with his men in the thick of it rather than an isolated and aloof. TO BE CONTENUED
