Hi, Dalen! Welcome to the Lexicanum - great that you decided to join forces. As you seem to be experienced with the Wikipedia software and show plenty enthusiasm we decided to immediately nominate you the first SysOp of the English Wh40k Lexicanum. May your efforts let this wiki grow and prosper. But please remember that this is not a one-man-show, search for English-speaking users, look out for additional SysOps if you meet someone who seems to be sutiable for this commitment. And do not forget that this wiki is one of four, which have to remain closely connected with each other - in this case especially with the German Wh40k Lexicanum, of course. So please discuss changes in structure and handling with the other ones - if things are changed, they should be changed everywhere. And have an eye for the things happening on the German wiki. I have transferred the Portal from the German into the English now: Portal:Lexicanum This is something new which we decided some weeks ago - like at Wikipedia Portals shall make it easier for you SysOps to coordinate the work (What is to do, etc.) and make the wiki more transparent to its users (How to contact the SysOps, What is going on > News, etc.) -Torwächter 20:27, 31 Jul 2005 (CEST)

I have to admit i dislike the way you just copy from another wiki.

Humm? Which other wiki is copied from?
warhammer40k.wikicities.com A wiki that I previosly ran, before I migrated the stuff here. A lot of content was in turn copied from wikipedia (with a lot of editing), but it also falls under the GFDL. --Dalen 10:34, 3 Aug 2005 (CEST)

It's me, sorry it took so long for me to reply. I don't really see much point continuing the Wikicity, this site already seems fairly well established. Could do with some promotion as I never found it when I was looking for other 40K wikis. Also, is this site licensed under the GFDL? If so it should have a notice with a link to the GFDL on the bottom of pages, and on the edit page.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll have too much time to help out, but I'll give it my best shot.

Wikicity?

Yeah, I don't know why though. One on the wikicities admins removed the notice on the frontpage about disbanding the wiki. So now I added a link here under Website directory instead. --Dalen 10:12, 10 Sep 2005 (CEST)

As you already may have noticed the Lexicanum is experiencing some technical problems including for example defunct functions since its last update. I am SanchiTachi over at Wikipedia. Recently, we have done a major update of the Wiki pages on Warhammer. I believe that these updates might be of interest to you, as we have put a lot of effort, added tons of resources, links, etc etc.

With the Wiki policy, they are free use and I welcome you to pull information over to the Warhammer Wiki, and ask if you could send a representative over to Wikipedia (unless there is one already) so we can have a joint effort. [1] This is a current page I was working on dealing with the line of graphic novels (individual plot synposes and their characters are on their own page, its an overview and discusses miniature lines.

Other pages have been revamped, organized, and improved greatly, such as [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], and [12].

Some are completely new, like [13], [14].

There are at least 30 other pages that I left off, from the Ecclesiarchy to different branches of the Tyranids. I hope you don't mind my posting this here, as I hope that this can be used to bring improvenment to both Encyclopedias.
