| Welcome, new adept of the LEXICANUM!
Hi there and welcome. It's nice to see new faces around! |
How to add sources
| WARNING:
Any and all changes to the content of articles (except spelling) that are not marked with a correct source and footnote will be reverted or deleted. New articles without proper sourcing will also be deleted. See how to include sources here. Save yourself the frustration of having your contribution removed and us a lot of work! In addition not following this rule will result in the removal of the offender from the Lexicanum.
|
It is compulsory to add official sources for ANY change or addition of information!
The new text has to be marked with a footnote.
Example:
new text1
This footnote is then referenced under "Sources" at the end of the article:
Example:
Sources
*1: Codex XY, p. xx
Please note that it is absolutely compulsory to include pagenumbers (in the case of novels chapter numbers)!
If you are referencing different pages/ chapters from the same source the source itself is marked with a number, the individual pages or chapters by letters:
Example:
new text1: p. xy ... new text1: p. yz
Sources
*1: Codex XY:
In the case of novels, no pagenumbers should be given (they vary between translations and print runs). In this case chapternumbers are compulsory.
Example:
new text1: ch. xy ... new text1: ch. yz
Sources
*1: XY (Novel):
Please first test this function in the Lexicanum:Immaterium.

Hello
Just wanted to mention that I copied your articles about Fantasy Flight Games and some of the GWs subsidiaries to the fantasy Lex for the sake of completeness. :) --Digganob 18:58, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Deletion candidates
What's up with the articles you recently nominated for deletion? --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 14:14, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- I was going through Special:UncategorizedPages. Some articles filed there I added categories to, while some I nominated for deletion. The reasons below:
- Holy Orbs of Antioch - already exists at Holy Orb of Antioch. Maybe this could be redirected.
- Il'Pourri Class Cruiser - blank article.
- Memoirs of a Pessimist - a short article with no useful info on what it actually is.
- Brontoie and Oethanar - don't seem notable. I'm not sure if these deserve articles? Or what the view is on what's notable? OK, maybe these one don't need deleting...?

File:Lascarbine.jpg
The source for that picture is wrong. I checked it. So? --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 22:47, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- EDIT: same for File:Long-Las.jpg --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 22:48, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, hold on. It's correct. I have the book open on the desk in front of me. It's the rule book for the rogue trader rpg (Rogue Trader Rulebook), not the 1st edition of 40k (Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader) - maybe that's where the confusion is coming from? -- Icaterus 22:52, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ah! My bad, sorry. Damn GW for using the same names... Thanks for clearing that up. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 22:56, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Kairos/Fateweaver
Why did you redirect Kairos (name) to Fateweaver (Ephitet) ? Please give us an official source. --Ackheron 10:39, 10 July 2011 (CEST)
- Yeah you're right Kairos is his real name, so go ahead and rename the page to that. I can't remember why I redirected it... probably because that's what he's referred to as in the sources. My bad. On another note, most of the kairos/fateweaver page needs rewriting as a lot of it is pretty much copy and paste from the chaos deamons codex. --Icaterus 10:45, 10 July 2011 (CEST)
