How to add sources
| WARNING:
Any and all changes to the content of articles (except spelling) that are not marked with a correct source and footnote will be reverted or deleted. New articles without proper sourcing will also be deleted. See how to include sources here. Save yourself the frustration of having your contribution removed and us a lot of work! In addition not following this rule will result in the removal of the offender from the Lexicanum.

It is compulsory to add official sources for ANY change or addition of information!
The new text has to be marked with a footnote.
Example:
new text1
This footnote is then referenced under "Sources" at the end of the article:
Example:
Sources
*1: Codex XY, p. xx
Please note that it is absolutely compulsory to include pagenumbers (in the case of novels chapter numbers)!
If you are referencing different pages/ chapters from the same source the source itself is marked with a number, the individual pages or chapters by letters:
Example:
new text1: p. xy ... new text1: p. yz
Sources
*1: Codex XY:
In the case of novels, no pagenumbers should be given (they vary between translations and print runs). In this case chapternumbers are compulsory.
Example:
new text1: ch. xy ... new text1: ch. yz
Sources
*1: XY (Novel):
Please first test this function in the Lexicanum:Immaterium.
I mean this seriously. This also applies to articles with only one source. If you do not correct this retroactively for your last day's work I will have to revert everything. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 09:01, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Regarding what?! The last stuff I did was SOLELY making everything that was messy into table... I know how to source, and I did in fact source my last work before today... I didn't source this work as I didn't actually add anything, just reorganized it so it wasn't a mess...--PsykieKILLA 11:15, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hmmm. Okay. If there was no new stuff added I can't fault you. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 12:31, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I will make sure that new additions do have properly numbered sources though next time. --PsykieKILLA 21:55, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
