Valos is a barren, Dead World on the Eastern Fringe of the Ultima Segmentum. It is galactic south east of Ultramar and was in the direct line of the Hive Fleet Behemoth attack.
It was the first world to be overrun and absorbed by the Hive Fleet before it proceeded to overrun Tyran, from which Tyranids got their name.
