Veteran Squad (Space Marines)

A Veteran Squad is the one of the most experienced units in the Space Marine army, making up the 1st Company along with Terminator and Terminator Assault Squads.
The basic squad is made up of 5 Veteran Marines. The squad can be increased in size to 10 Space Marines and one can be upgraded to a Veteran Sergeant. They all wear the standard Space Marine Power Armour and carry a Bolter or Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon. The Veteran Sergeant has access to the Space Marine Armoury. They can also be armed with Frag Grenades and Krak Grenades and be mounted in a Rhino or, if the squad numbers 6 or less, a Razorback.
Veteran Squads are also known as Wolf Guards in the Space Wolves, or as Sword Brethren with the Black Templars.
The Sisters of Battle call their veterans Celestians. The Imperial Guard has their own Hardened Veteran Squads.
Chaos Space Marines Veterans are known as Chosen. The Ork equivalent is called a Skarboy.
