The Wrought was a vast armoury created by the Primarch Vulkan of the Salamanders Legion. It was located on an unnamed world in the Boron XIII System.[1a]

Description

The Wrought was a vast structure containing a number of armouries, well-stocked with weapons and munitions, and a hangar large enough to accommodate the forgeship Chalice of Fire.[1e] . The door was immense, unable to be pierced by any charge or even Melta weapons.[1d] It was ornately carved with the artistry of Vulkan's own hand, the recessed drake sigil of his Legion concealing an esoteric mechanism which could only be unlocked by the blood of either Vulkan or T'kell.[1c]

History

The Wrought was one of a number of weapons caches maintained by the Salamanders during the Great Crusade for rapid emergency re-supply. All records of what transpired on the planet that housed the Wrought were redacted.[1a]

After the outbreak of the Horus Heresy, Forgefather T'kell travelled to the Wrought in order to seal the Artefacts of Vulkan in it, but discovered the Sons of Horus and Regulus (Dark Mechanicum) of the Dark Mechanicum were already on the surface attempting to gain entry to the vault.[1a] The Dark Mechanicum were unable to force entry to the vault,[1b] but were able to gain access by infecting T'kell with malicious scrap-code.[1e] Many of the weapons and munitions stored within were requisitioned by the Iron Hands under Iron Father Kastigan Ulok.[1f]
