The Kabal of the Bloodied Claw is one of the older Kabals in Commorragh, led by Akhara'Keth. Their ranks number in the thousands, and raid daily, in order to supply their Archon with a sufficient quantity of souls to keep him relatively young.

Notable Members
Akhara'Keth
Akhara'Keth, referred to as "Ruler of the Void" by his many subordinates, is an ancient Dark Eldar, and one who has remained in power over his Kabal despite over three hundred recorded assassination attempts. Because of his age, many in Commorragh see him as weak, but his abilities at reading people have always left him one step ahead of any who have made attempts on his life. He spends nearly all his time in the seclusion of his throne room, the large, ornate throne and seemingly meager number of Warrior bodyguards serving as little more than a ploy to try and coax would be assassins to attack him. In the event of an attack, his throne houses an anti-grav field generator, similar to those found in Dark Eldar Vehicles, that lifts him up into a safe room above, while hidden chambers along the walls release his personal retinue of Incubi and Mandrakes to dispatch his enemies.

Khirareq
Khirareq is a Dracon of the Kabal of the Bloodied Claw, leader of "The Destroyers", and Akhara'Keth's current Hierarch. She is incredibly power-hungry, as are most Dark Eldar, and as such she has single-mindedly tried to climb the ranks of the Kabal throughout her career. She had at one time attempted to assassinate Akhara'Keth, but was only able to kill the Hierarch of Akhara'Keth, a warrior named Zharokh, before her coup was stopped by Akhara'Keth's personal bodyguards. Because of her successful murder of Zharokh, she earned his position as the new Hierarch.
Overview
The Kabal of the Black Heart is the single largest and most powerful Kabal in Commorragh, and because of this, they are the dominating power in the city. The Kabal's Supreme Lord is Asdrubael Vect, the oldest known Dark Eldar, and the supposed founder of the Dark City itself. The fact that the Kabal's founder is old enough to have witnessed first hand the birth of Slaanesh means that along with being the largest and most powerful Kabal, they are also one of, if not the, oldest active Kabal in Dark Eldar society.

No'Kaei was originally affiliated with The Black Heart, until the events leading up to and after The Fall of Medusa V.
*:Image:Elsy'ier sept100.jpg seems to be the same image as :Image:Elsy'eir sept100.jpg. Be careful with this one. The 1st image seems to be simply a case of wrong spelling but the images are indeed slightly diffrent. I still think that this is a spelling mistake. Irulan 00:38, 14 October 2007 (CEST)
:Yes, this was a misspelling.--Rlyehable 13:56, 13 November 2007 (CET)
*Template:Cite Here - replaced by Template:Cite This --Rlyehable 13:49, 13 November 2007 (CET)

To make everthing clear: in the last months whe have been seeing many images obtained from the GW-site painter (all of them evident U-cases) replaced by images obtained from the "Bolter & Chainsword Space Marine Painter". While the second are simply better they aren't official GW products (and mistakes may appear as not all chapters have the "skull and wings" on their chest-armour). They can (and will) be replaced with better and official images (of the chapters in question) as easily and quickly as that: "CLICK" (snapped with my fingers)

**I taking this chance to tell you all that I'm seriously considering of creating proper "Chapter image categories" for all chapters with 3 images (the minimum that a chapter-article requires in the "basic data template"). This would simplify and sort many images currently in the :Category: Later Foundings Images (to oppose this proposal, please use the talk-page over "there"). Currently there are way too many images there and keeping things simple is what wiki is all about. Irulan 14:36, 3 November 2007 (CET)
:*Go for it I say. I need to do an updated category list fairly soon so after you've done this might seem a sensible time.Cheers--Jonru 14:25, 5 November 2007 (CET)

*I recently picked up the Eldar & Dark Eldar Collectors Guide, which unfortunately changes some information about Dark Eldar Kabals and Cults. As such, I unfortunately need to reorganize a few of the pictures. Below are the ones I'd like to have deleted, so I can upload the new ones:
:::Image:Black_Heart_Warrior.jpg - This is now listed as the Kabal of the All-Seeing Eye color scheme.
:::Image:Strife_wych_mini.jpg - This is now listed as the Cult of Murder color scheme.
:Thank you. --Ikaruwa 22:46, 14 November 2007 (CET)
Overview
The Kabal of the Flayed Skull is a group of Dark Eldar lead by the Archon Kruellagh the Vile. They raid much more frequently than most other Kabals, presumably due to their Archon's near addiction to consuming the vital fluids of living beings.
Overview
Commorragh, the Dark City is the capital of the Dark Eldar society. It's located deep within the labyrinth of the Webway, the space between the Materium and Immaterium.

Background
There are many rumors about Commorragh, the terrifying home of the Dark Eldar, making it difficult to know just what is truth, and what has been fabricated by the shattered psyches of those unfortunate enough to find themselves in Commorragh.

Founding
Commorragh has stood for over ten millenia, and due to the difficulties of surviving the Dark Eldar way of life, combined with needing to live much longer than what is considered possible for normal Eldar, there is only one being who could possibly remember the founding first-hand: Asdrubael Vect, Supreme Lord of the Kabal of the Black Heart. In fact, Vect claims that he is the founder of Commorragh, as well as the one who discovered the way of extracting souls from living creatures in order to prolong one's life. Unfortunately, he is the only one nearly ancient enough to know whether these statements are true or false, so the validity of this claim is unknown.

Location
Commorragh was built in the Webway for a number of reasons.

First and foremost, it is a dimension where the forces of Chaos, and specifically Slaanesh, have very little influence. Therefore, the Webway is the location where The Thirst takes its toll the least on the Dark Eldar.

Secondly, the fact that the Webway connects virtually to everywhere in the galaxy makes it ideal as a staging point for raids on other races. It's not uncommon for a raiding party to be able to run raids on an entire solar system before the Imperium is able to respond, and they have no method with which they can traverse the Webway, so the raiding party can travel back to Commorragh undisturbed.

Finally, the infinitely large expanse of space makes it the perfect place for a city the size of Commorragh. No single planet would be capable of supporting the sheer size of the Dark Eldar people, and no system of planets could ever hope to be as defensible as the Webway allows Commorragh to be.

Scale
The immensity of Commorragh has never been explicitly detailed, but if you look at the historical records of the Eldar civilization prior to the Fall of the Eldar, you can get an idea of the necessary size.

Before the birth of Slaanesh, the Eldar were said to number in the trillions. Only a small fraction of these untold trillions of Eldar held a distaste for the hedonistic pursuits of the masses, and only that fraction left to become the Exodites and Craftworld Eldar. The birth of Slaanesh was indeed felt by all Eldar as a drain of their soul energies. But, of the Eldar who remained, those on the fringes of the Eldar Empire that were the youngest and most virtuous were not destroyed outright, simply weakened by this psychic assault.

It is these survivors that make up the Dark Eldar ranks. And if one were to consider statistical probability, the number of Dark Eldar could be considered no less than twenty billion strong, but more likely somewhere between five-hundred billion and one trillion. The minimum number has been reached by considering the Eldar Empire numbering two trillion, the smallest amount that could be referred to as 'Trillions', then positing that due to the extremely long life of the average Eldar, there would be on average one hundred generations worth existing at a time, then having only the youngest generation survive. If the Empire numbered ten or twenty trillion, and the youngest five or ten generations survived, the numbers would be dramatically larger.

Regions
Commorragh is split up into regions, and these regions are controlled by Kabals. Members of those Kabals live in and police these regions, as the existence of their Kabal depends, to a large degree, on maintaining districts for its members to live in. Traditionally, Wych Cults maintain Battle Coliseums in the districts of Kabals they're allied with, Haemonculi are given laboratories (usually underground) within the districts of Kabals they provide their services to, and Mandrakes will be given the right to prowl the streets and alleys in search of meals so long as they agree to assist the Kabal of the region when requested.

DEPortal
Overview
A Talos is a robot created by the Dark Eldar Haemonculi. It floats across the battlefield using an anti-grav propulsion system similar to those found in Raiders, Ravagers, Reaver Jetbikes, and Hellion Skyboards. A Talos uses soul energy as its power source. In order to continue operating, then, it's programmed to pursue living targets, capture them, and torture them using the various nightmarish devices attached to it by its creators.

Equipment
A Talos is equipped with various exotic devices for causing pain and misery in its victims.

Weaponry
Haemonculi are constantly searching for new and unique ways to torture and kill their victims, and this desire is clearly apparent in the weaponry attached to a Talos. Its two primary weapons are a series of claw-like arms, and its deadly Sting gun.

*The Talos Sting is a tail-shaped cannon, adding to the scorpion-like appearance of the Talos. The Talos has no mind for tactics or strategy, and thus fires this cannon rapidly into enemy lines, cutting large swathes of virulent death across the battlefield.
*Talos Claws are a series of robotic arms with vicious torture implements on the ends, used by the Talos once it reaches close combat range.

Armor
A Talos is quite heavily armored by Dark Eldar standards, with a thick plated metal carapace surrounding its inner workings. This causes the Talos to move rather slowly across the battlefield, but is necessary due to the aforementioned lack of tactics or strategy in the Talos' programming. However, due to this fact, as well as the rather uneasy feeling being so close to a relatively mindless automated torture machine garners, few Archons and Dracons permit their use in the battlefield, preferring to rely on superior speed and strategy, as is the Dark Eldar way.
Overview
The Dark Eldar employ a variety of weapon systems that are as unique as they are deadly. The primary source of these devices would be the Haemonculi sect, as they are constantly devising new and terrible methods with which to cause excruciating pain to their victims.

Haemonculus Weaponry
The three most common weapons found to be used by Haemonculi in the field are the Destructor, the Scissorhand, and the Stinger. These exotic weapons are hand-crafted by the Haemonculi that use them, and as such serve to show a being's prowess with the art of pain.

Destructor
The Destructor is a very deadly, and popular, weapon used by Haemonculi. it resembles a long tube, with a cavity to slip one's hand into up to the elbow. The ammunition for the weapon is carried in a small container the Haemonculus wears, fed through a series of tubes. The Destructor sprays a wide stream of an incredibly corrosive organo-acidic compound when fired. This toxin can eat through any known armor, burn flesh, and once inside the target's system can cause, "blood vessel explosion or implosion; pharyngeal contraction; extensive haemolysis; skeletal disintegration; sclerotic corrosion; intercostal spasms; hyper-reacted thermoreceptors and chemoreceptors; Eustachian damage; retinal scarring; cardiac and respiratory atrophy and aqueous humor deprivation."1

This device's effectiveness in combat has been confirmed time and again, with reports of a single Haemonculus able to decimate an entire squad of Space Marines with a single well-aimed volley, every man among them dying from sheer pain, or worse, leaving them alive but immobilized. Blind, hideously burned, hemorrhaging blood from every orifice, wracked in unimaginable amounts of agony, helpless and in the twisted hands of the Haemonculi.

Scissorhand
A Scissorhand is an incredibly dangerous close combat weapon. It's a glove with long monomolecular blades attached to the fingertips like claws. The glove has a series of vein-like tubes that run along each finger, slowly reapplying an incredibly virulent poison to the blades. Victims who receive even the slightest of scratches by these blades become wracked with pain so incredible that it frequently causes the target to pass out or even die.

Stinger
The Stinger makes up the final of the three primary weapons used by Haemonculi in combat. This weapon resembles a smaller, more rounded Splinter Pistol, although the similarities end there. The Stinger, instead, fires small hypodermic needles at the target, the cavity of which contain and incredibly exotic bacteria. This bacteria, once introduced to the target's bloodstream, multiplies quickly, and shortly afterwards causes the victim to literally explode, sending fragments of bone and armor flying in all directions. In the event that the victim's comrades are close enough or unlucky enough to have one of these fragments lodged in their bodies, the bacteria will travel from the lodged debris into the comrade's bloodstream, multiplying and ultimately causing them to explode.

Talos Weaponry
The Haemonculus of Commorragh have developed a series of weapons exclusively for use by their creation, the Talos. These are the Talos Sting and Talos Claws.

Talos Sting
The Talos Sting is a cannon mounted on the hull of a Talos, an automated torture device spawned from the twisted minds of the Haemonculi. The Sting shoots incredibly powerful bio-acid, similar to that found in a Destructor, but instead of launching it in a spray, it shoots it out in short, rapid bursts, doing its best to hit specific targets rather than cover an entire area. This means that unlike a Destructor, if a target is hit the same general amount of bio-acid is applied. So while a severely unlucky target won't be hit with copious amounts of the fluid, no severely lucky targets will feel a stray glance of the bio-acid that can be more or less shrugged off.

Talos Claws
Talos Claws comprise a variety of devices used by the Talos in order to restrain victims, as well as torture and kill them in order to extract the soul energy its powered by. They're named as such because most Talos are frequently seen with a pair of large scorpion-like claws, although these only make up two of the various instruments a Talos may have available to it.

Wraithbone Munitions
The Dark Eldar occasionally retrieve Wraithbone from raiding their Eldar cousins, and use the soul energies housed in them to create a handful of very effective munitions.

Soul-Seeker Ammunition
With the proper treatment of Wraithbone, Dark Eldar are able to create these alternatives to the standard-issue Splinter Crystal rounds for their basic weapons. These Soul-Seeker Rounds are crystals impregnated with tortured Wraithbone. When broken down by the gun to form projectiles, the souls trapped in the crystal, driven mad during the treatment process, seek to enact revenge on the first living thing it can find, and imparts so much force in this endeavor that it can change the trajectory of the round, even so much as to be able to curve around trees and bushes.

Terrorfex
The Terrorfex is a wrist-mounted grenade launcher. The standard grenades used in conjunction with this device are Wraithbone grenades. Archon Kruellagh of the Kabal of the Flayed Skull uses special Damnation Grenades in her Terrorfex, but there are also Xenospasm Grenades, although these are incredibly difficult to make, and therefore quite rare to find in battle.

Wraithbone Grenades
The Wraithbone Grenades launched by the Terrorfex go through a similar treatment process as the Soul-Seeker Ammunition, though where the Soul-Seeker rounds are treated to try and cause a maddening rage in the soul energy within, the Wraithbone grenades are treated so as to create an overwhelming sense of fear and despair. The grenades explode in the air above the target, releasing the soul energy in a haze that envelopes the target. The energies cause the same feelings to swell in the target, paralyzing them with fear or sadness.

Xenospasm Grenades
These special grenades are made of specially carved obsidian, with fragments of Wraithbone impregnated into the rock. The soul energy in this Wraithbone is tortured in much the same way as the Soul-Seeker Wraithbone, and once the Obsidian explodes in the air, the souls housed inside aim the obsidian fragments directly at the target, flensing them with every fragment, rather than the small fraction of shards that would result from a conventional Frag Grenade.

Other Weapons
There are other devices more broadly employed by the Dark Eldar, but function in quite a unique manner.

Shredder
The Shredder is a weapon used primarily by Wyches and Warriors, although Incubi are also occasionally seen leaving behind their Punishers in favor of a Shredder. This small, lightweight gun has a chamber within which is kept a metallic monomolecular polymer. When the gun is fired at it's target, a pair of magnetic web generators housed at the front of the gun quickly weave a net of sharp, barbed wire which is then launched at the victims at high speed, digging into their flesh more and more with each movement.
Slaanesh is the Chaos god of lust, excess, pleasure, perfection and hedonism. Slaanesh typically appears in a form which is a woman on the right side and a man on the left with two sets of horns rising from its flowing golden hair. It can however assume any form; male, female, hermaphrodite or asexual, but prefers male bodies. Its sacred number is six. It is known by a multitude of titles such as the Prince of Chaos, Prince of Excess, She Who Thirsts, She Who Is Not Named, The Great Enemy, The Great Serpent or Prince of Pleasure.

The name Slaanesh is a corruption of the Chaos term Slaaneth (Slaa meaning "ecstasy" or "pleasure" and Neth meaning "lord" or "prince"; hence, the Prince of Pleasure). It was fully born at the moment of the Fall of the Eldar. The birth of Slaanesh created the Eye of Terror and slew most of the Eldar except those far enough away from the Eldar homeworlds to escape. This event also slew the Eldar Gods except for Khaine, who was shattered into many pieces, and the Laughing God, Cegorach.

The symbol of Slaanesh combines the conventional symbols for male and female, although it is seldom worn openly by his followers. In its place they often wear items of jewellery bearing erotic motifs. Followers dress in robes which are often opened to leave the right side of the chest uncovered, a requirement of many of the rituals involved in his worship. Pastel and electric shades are the chief colours, although white is often used as well. These colours are also sometimes carried over into everyday wear, although they may be modified to fit in with current fashions. Regardless of any considerations, all Slaanesh followers wear garb of sensuously high quality.

Slaanesh has a neutral attitude to many of the gods of Chaos, and is generally too caught up in his own pleasures to be interested in alliances and co-operation. Particular enemies are the followers of Khorne, whose belief in pain and death is completely opposed to Slaanesh's principle of a life of unrestricted pleasure. Followers of Nurgle and Tzeentch are subject to Slaanesh's usual neutral attitude.

Followers of Slaanesh
Slaanesh is served primarily by the Emperor's Children Chaos Space Marines, hedonistic psychopaths who wield unique sonic weaponry in battle. They, like other Chaos Space Marines, fled to the Eye of Terror after the death of Horus at the hands of the Emperor.

Also the renegade chapter Violators have dedicated themselves to the prince of excess.

Daemons of Slaanesh
The Greater Daemon of Slaanesh is the Keeper of Secrets, a huge and indescribable creatures whose very presence is capable of bringing the bravest warrior to his knees in anguish and ecstasy.

The main Daemons of Slaanesh are the Daemonettes, feminine creatures whose seductive bodies are at contrast with their grotesque claws and lightning speed. Daemonettes can also ride Steeds of Slaanesh, lurid snakelike creatures who lash with their prehensile tongues.
Overview
Lasko Pyre was a Remembrancer from the Imperium of Man, serving as a documentarian. He was kidnapped during a Dark Eldar slave raid some time during the 34th Millenium, and is the only known slave to have escaped Commorragh. During his life as a slave in Commorragh, he was tortured and mutilated by members of the Kabal who owned him. His eyes were removed and his voice box was muted, amongst other torturous procedures. He told of his ordeal in "The Annals of Terror" prior to taking his own life in the year 647.M34. Because of the content of his autobiographical account of Commorragh, he was posthumously declared a heretic by the Inquisition.
Overview
The Dark Eldar use a rather exotic, extremely dangerous energy dubbed Dark Matter in their anti-vehicle weaponry. How they harvest this energy is beyond current understanding, as it is believed that the only sources of Dark Matter that are available in the Materium are from black holes, warp storms, and similarly hazardous celestial phenomena.

Dark Lance
The most commonly seen example of Dark Matter Weaponry is the Dark Lance. Similar in construction to the Bright Lance of their Eldar cousin's forces, a Dark Lance is redesigned to allow for the use of Dark Matter ammunition. It's commonly found mounted on Raiders and Ravagers, although Warrior Squads are seen carrying them across the battlefield as well. The device uses magnetic containment and stabilization fields to prevent the Dark Matter from damaging the weapon or its user. The Dark Matter is accelerated very rapidly down the barrel by these same containment fields. Upon making contact with its target, it reacts very violently, tearing through armor regardless of thickness or composition, and in the event of the Dark Lances use on infantry, it's incredibly rare that any sign of the unfortunate target is left whatsoever.

Blaster
A Blaster is a smaller, light weight version of a Dark Lance, which includes a semi-liquid stabilizer like that found in the Dark Eldar Splinter Cannon. This allows for Warrior squads to launch volleys of this devastating energy while running, although the more compact build of the gun significantly shortens the maximum range of the device.

Disintegrator
A Disintegrator is a very dangerous adaptation of a Dark Lance. It uses the same Dark Matter munitions principles as the aforementioned weapons, but the Dark Matter used is less pure, and as a result it spreads out over an area, rippling and popping as it reacts to the imperfections found in its shot. The Disintegrator has two firing modes developed to make use of these impurities, the first a short, high-velocity round similar to a Dark Lance or Blaster shot, although less powerful due to the substandard munitions. The second, commonly used on large mobs of weaker beings, builds a sizeable amount of the Dark Matter within a secondary chamber, then lobs it in an arc at its targets, allowing it to spread out and cover a rather large area before hitting the ground, with devastating results.
Overview
An Archon is the highest ranking member of a Dark Eldar Kabal. They are considered the single most powerful, ruthless, and cunning member of their Kabal, due to the fact that if there existed anyone who held greater ability in these aspects, they would no doubt kill their Archon and claim their title.

Indeed, the singular power they hold over the members of their Kabal make the title incredibly appealing to subordinates, and assassination attempts are not only common, but frequent. The average Archon suffers dozens of assassination attempts before finally succumbing, and some have maintained their position even after well over three hundred attempts on their life.

Equipment
Weapons
Archons have access to the most powerful weapons, equipment, and artifacts available to their Kabal, and as such are frequently seen using amazingly advanced technologies when they deem it necessary to appear on the field of battle.

The most common weapons used by Archons would be the Agonizer in combination with a Splinter Pistol, although it not entirely uncommon to see Archons who take a personal interest in the combat stylings of Incubi, Hellions, or Reaver Jetbike Riders, and procure sets of their equipment for the Archon's own use.

Armor
Archons, like the vast majority of Dark Eldar, feel that speed and dexterity are more than a replacement for defense, and wear only a light pressurized neuro-responsive body armor, allowing them to traverse vacuum when necessary and shrug off most civilian arms fire. Their suits, however, are usually covered in trophies and ornate fixtures that are better representative of their lofty position within the Kabals.

Retinue
Archons are almost always seen with a retinue in the field, and this retinue is usually the same group of Warriors or Incubi that work as bodyguards when in Commorragh, protecting the Archon and his palace from would be assassins or rival Kabals.

Notable Archons
*Asdrubael Vect - Supreme Lord of the Kabal of the Black Heart
*Kruellagh the Vile - Archon of the Kabal of the Flayed Skull
*Akhara'Keth - Archon of the Kabal of the Bloodied Claw
Overview
A Dracon is the commander for a regiment of soldiers in a Dark Eldar Kabal. They are frequently seen leading their forces in large scale raids, or joining up with a raid currently in progress upon receiving word that considerable resistance has been met.

Background
Dracon equipment is very similar to that used by Archons, with slight exceptions.

Armor
Dracons usually dress very similarly to an Archon (although they are careful not to outdo them), wearing light, pressurized, neuroresponsive armor that has been customized with talismans, trophies, and ornate modifications in order to distinguish themselves and emphasize the importance of their rank to subordinates. In fact, most other races have difficulty telling Archons and Dracons apart because of this. To make this mistake in the presence of an Archon or Dracon, however, is to almost guarantee one's own death, and perhaps even the Dracon in question depending on circumstances.

Wargear
By the time a member of a Kabal has achieved the rank of Dracon, they more than likely have attained access to the full armory of the Kabal, and as such are frequently seen equipped with the same incredibly advanced wargear, or ancient and valuable artifacts. In the event of a full-scale operation, one that would include the Archon in battle, Dracon's obviously must allow their lord first choice on any equipment they might want.

Retinue
It's quite common for a Dracon to have a specific Warrior squad that they take on as their retinue, but these warriors are less like bodyguards, and more like disciples, blessed with being given the opportunity to train under a being of such distinction and skill as to achieve the rank of Dracon. This Warrior squad is usually given a special name, and is treated with increased kindness by their Dracon, while suffering increased contempt by their fellow Warriors. These elites usually swear fealty to the Dracon over the Kabal, and as such are often the fulcrum necessary for a successful coup d'etat. Unfortunately, this means in the event of the Dracon's plot being foiled, these elites are usually killed or enslaved regardless of whether they had anything to do with the matter.
Overview
The Warrior is the basic soldier of a Dark Eldar Kabal. They make up the vast majority of the soldiers in a Kabal, and perform any and all tasks too important to leave to the slaves.

Background
Origin
The innate danger of simply living in Commorragh gives its citizens training as warriors from birth, their entire lives a constant fight for survival leaving even women and children just as technically capable in armed combat as a Space Marine. Because of this, and because of the need for some form of a safe haven even just to sleep at, almost all citizens of Commorragh are Warriors in a Kabal. The small fraction left make up the Wych Cults, Incubus and Haemonculus sects.

The leader of a squad of Warriors is given the title Sybarite. Like all other ranks Dark Eldar can achieve, the Sybarite is simply the best warrior in the squad, and new Sybarites are decided by warriors of a squad killing their superior officer in order to take their title.

For more information on Sybarites, please read the Sybarite article.

Combat Use
Dark Eldar Warriors are frequently dispatched in large groups of fifteen to twenty soldiers including Sybarite. This way they have the best chance of survival against smaller, but more heavily armored enemies such as Space Marines, allowing them to drown targets in Splinter fire or team up on enemies to ensure quick resolution to melee combat.

Raider Squads
Some Kabals perfer to send smaller groups of five to ten Warriors per squad, then assigning them a Raider transport in order to make them even quicker at traversing a battlefield, giving their enemies as little time to react to the situation as possible, thus ncreasing flaws in their defensive strategies. Only larger Kabals are able to afford the number of Raiders necessary for this technique.

Lord Retinue
Kabals that are unable to afford Incubi, or do not wish to hire them for whatever reason, frequently assign squads of Warriors as bodyguards to Archons/Dracons.

Equipment
The Warriors of Commorragh, like the vast majority of Dark Eldar troops, focus more on speed and strength than they do on defense. This fact is reflected in their equipment

Weapons
Standard issue weaponry for Warriors is a Splinter Rifle. They're trained with a variety of weapons, however, in the event that their Archon/Dracon chooses to assign different weapons to their squad. These weapons are:

* Splinter Cannon - An even more rapid-fire version of the Splinter Rifle, equipped with a semi-fluid stabilizer system to negate recoil.
* Dark Lance - A heavy anti-vehicle weapon, which fires a beam of dark matter at its target, tearing through armor and vaporizing soldiers
* Shredder - A small pistol-sized device that launches monomolecular barbed wire nets at its target, digging into groups of enemies with well-aimed shots
* Blaster - A more compact version of a Dark Lance. Due to the reduced size, the accelerator mechanism is less effective, reducing the overall range of the weapon, though the devastating effects are the same.

For more information on these weapons, please read the following articles: Splinter Rifle, Splinter Cannon, Dark Lance, Shredder, Blaster

Armor
due to the Dark Eldar's desire for speed and dexterity over defensibility, their armor is a thin, light-weight flexible bodysuit, pressurized to allow Warriors to traverse the vacuum of space. Just like standard-issue Eldar suits, they respond to neural impulses from their wearer and harden on command, allowing for the Warriors to shrug off civilian-grade firepower, but requiring they rely on their superior combat abilities and quick reflexes to survive more challenging targets.
Sybarite is the title given to a Dark Eldar Warrior squad leader. The strongest, most ruthless member of a squad is granted this title by killing the competition by any means necessary, as is the Dark Eldar way. Sybarite is still a fairly low ranking member of a Kabal, and the title really serves little purpose apart from creating rivalry within the Warrior squad and giving the new Sybarite a higher ranking position to strive for.

Once attaining the rank of Sybarite, most have honed their skills in combat to such a degree that they trade in their longer-range, but clumsier and less agressive Splinter Rifles for Splinter Pistols and a Close Combat Weapon. ==Overview==
