The '''Hammerhead Gunship''' is the main battle tank of the [[Tau]] army. It is based on the standard [[Devilfish]] chassis but sacrifices transport capacity for high powered weapon capacitors and extra armor. As a skimmer, it ignores terrain and, with certain upgrades, can move its full distance while still firing all of its weapons. Its ability to mount either a [[Railgun]] or an [[Ion Cannon]] as well as a secondary weapon of a [[Smart Missile System]] or two [[Burst Cannon]]s make it possibly the best tank in the game from a points-to-effectiveness ratio.
