After most of their company had already died, Namark would continue to push the regiment into further aggressive military actions while muttering that ''"The blood must flow"''. Namark would continue to send in unsuccessful suicide missions and executing any that questioned him. Eventually, Morrow would kill the commissar so that the regiment could finally go home.{{Fn|4}}
