Acheron is a mysterious[1] and accursed world that emerges from the Warp every 5,000 years[2]
Overview
In the 41st Millennium Acheron became enveloped by war, once it was discovered that it holds a catastrophic weapon known as the Spear of Khaine. Now the forces of the Blood Ravens Chapter Master Gabriel Angelos, the Eldar Biel-Tan Farseer Macha and the Ork Warlord Gorgutz 'Ead 'Unter, are fighting against each other for possession of the weapon.[1]
When the spear was finally discovered, it revealed to have been a ruse by Chaos forces to unleash a Daemonic horde. Desperate, Gabriel Angelos deliberately crashed a Battle Barge into one of Acheron's fissures, causing the planet to disintegrate.[3]
