Arl'yeth is a Forge World of the Imperium.[1]
Overview
A minor Forge World by the time of the Horus Heresy, it is believed to have been colonized pre-Imperium due to the large amounts of Archaeotech beneath the surface. Construction by a civilization unknown to the Imperium, the study of these ruins became an obsession to the settlers of the world. In time, the Tech-Priest cults that established themselves there believed that by discovering the nature and origin of the ruins they would glean a means to contact the Omnissiah directly. It remained undisturbed during the Age of Strife and peacefully joined the Imperium during the Great Crusade as long as its research was allowed to continue. This saw the planet become a mining center to feed the Great Crusade, and they saw the Heresy as a mere distraction to their work.[1]
