Astador is a Chaplain of the Mortificators Chapter.^[1][2]

Prior to his admission into the Chapter he was a savage barbarian of his home Feral World of Posul, having collected 300 skulls for himself. He was eventually recruited by the Astartes overseers of Posul, rising from a mere Aspirant to an eventual Chaplain.^[1]

In 999.M41 he led a company of the Mortifactors to Tarsis Ultra to aid the Ultramarines in a battle against the Tyranids, deploying his forces from the Strike Cruiser Mortis Probati alongside the Ultramarines 4th Company and Deathwatch. During that time, Astador bonded with Ultramarines Captain Uriel Ventris.^[1]
