Axata was a resident of Colchis in M30.

A massive mercenary and guard, Axata and his men eventually came under the control of the exiled Kor Phaeron at the time of the discovery of Lorgar. Axata was loyal to Kor Phaeron and even whipped the young Lorgar at the Priests orders, but eventually fell completely under the young Primarch's sway. When Lorgar organized his followers into a proper army, Axata was named Gun-Deacon prime and commander of Lorgar's forces.[1] It is unknown what happened to him following the arrival of the Emperor.
